Road trip to Vegas.

For Spring Break, my family and I went on a road trip to Vegas. We love road trips. Basically took Interstate 40 all the way across the USA to Vegas. We stopped at the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert. We saw the Meteor Crater. Visited Hoover Dam. Tried to go to the Grand Canyon, but the wait was 7 miles long and decided to try another time. As for Vegas, we stayed at “The D” downtown on Freemont St foo $50 a night (that included the resort fee). It was perfect. We didn’t have to pay for parking, there were plenty of restaurants, and we could walk on Freemont at night. As for getting to The Strip… that was easy. Pay the $8 and take the Deuce Bus. It stops at all the hotels on The Strip. You don’t have to worry about parking and the bus has A/C. Also, stop by the Pinball Hall of Fame. You can play the machines. All of us loved it. It is down by the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign and there is a Deuce bus stop right across the street from it. The Atomic Museum is also good, but be aware that school groups often go to this museum so you might have to deal with that crowd.
